- natural objects of worship (Holy springs, forests, rivers, lakes, ponds, etc.);
- objects of cult of small forms (roadside crosses and altars, temples, etc.).
In the industry of religious tourism allocate cult centers and religious centers. Cult centre is a place of great importance for the certain confession, in which are religious and other events that attract a large number of pilgrims. In such places usually is the temple of the wonder-working icon, or earlier lived the famous Holy, spiritual teacher, an ascetic, or had a place of historical religious events. The religious center is a broader concept than a religious center. The religious center, in addition to the object of worship, includes educational institution and/or the administrative bodies of religious organizations. For example, the oldest monastery in Moscow, Svyato-Danilov, is the religious centre for pilgrims. Here among the objects of worship is the residence of the Patriarch and the Holy Synod. To give clear definition of these concepts, taking into account specifics of all religions, it is impossible. For example, the concept of a cult center for Islam practically irrelevant, as finding any sacred object in a religious center. The definition of a cult center and the religious center are only suitable for the generalized understanding of the issues of religious life.
